I go here quite a lot & have even had friends from Newcastle become members because they like it so much! Great food, great drinks, good value for money, relaxed atmnosphere, large tv screens, relaxed dress code
In a word: Fantastic!!! -

Another joke review! Aren't you dickheads getting bored? Considering my beer is cleaned every week and is widely regarded as the best pint on hylton rd and club makes the bottom review comical! My pool and snooker tables are £7 per hour and are always in working condition which is why I am routinely asked to hold finals nights and individual competitions on a regular basis. Mac1973 have a word with yourself or better still pop in and see me and show me what's broken. Idiot. Yours Gurjit Cheema- owner of the best pool and snooker venue in Sunderland

Utter terrible experience, the man who runs this establishment is a racist man, so nasty that I will never ever return, I have never heard language like that from a man of Pakistani origin, He took out on us patrons the racist remarks he was putting to the people outside in the street . With events in the area being tense I never expected an owner of any business to cause such hostility not only on members of the public, but members of his snooker hall.

I've never been in here, but i live very near and it seems a lively place. Directly opposite Millfield metro station and along a busy bus route, its very easy to find. Dress code is quite relaxed, hoodies need not apply. New Male only gym opening soon inside of it.

I paid the club a visit last week and noted my experience below. Atmosphere The atmosphere is sophisticated and civilised. A strict dress code and set of house rules ensure the highest quality experience for all the club's members, where respect is of the utmost importance. A low-key and friendly vibe is evident throughout and foul language is not tolorated by the staff. Facilities The club offer high-quality, state of the art American Pool tables together with all accessories such as cues, rests and extensions. Upstairs, the establishment boasts 10 perfectly clothed Riley snooker tables that offer a highly respectable experience for all lover of the sport. All tables are paid for by the hour at reasonable prices. Three large sized TV's are in operation in the main lounge of the bar that offer a wide-range of sport coverage from football to tennis and golf to darts. Speaking of darts, if the 'arrers is your forte, the club also has a dart board complete with lighting and rentable darts. Food and drink The food offered is of a fairly high standard. Myself and a friend both plumped for the chicken curry, which was delicious and is obviously freshly prepared as opposed to being out of a packet. In terms of costs, most items in terms of meals are £5+, with some items such as the curry costing £10, which to some may seem expensive but you pay a premium for the surroundings and the fact that the food is fresh. In terms of drinks, everything you could wish for from lager and soft drinks to coffee and shorts are available. A standard pint of lager would usually cost you around £2.70. Overall The overall impression I got from the club is that this is a place where it's members are respected and it is clear that the family-run business is one which has worked hard to maintain a friendly and sociable atmopshere for people, from students to middle-aged people who enjoy playing snooker or simply watching the football. The facilities on offer are of a sophisticated and admirable standard and although the food and drink could be deemed slightly expensive that is par for the course in a specialist club like this one. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience that I would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a fun-filled and laid back night out.
